LA HECHICERA is rum as it should be; a perfectly aged rum that is as crisp as it is smooth. A heady scent of toffee and orange peel on the nose followed by a bold burst of flavour on the palate with distinctive notes of tobacco and roasted coffee.

Twelve years into his rum venture, Miguel Riascos Sr. filled sixteen barrels of rum with his favourite wine to see what would happen.
He then forgot all about it.
Another twelve years later his son Miguel Riascos Jr. came upon the barrels to discover they harboured spectacular wine bursting with notes of walnut, prunes and leather after maturing in the relentless heat of Barranquilla. He then emptied the barrels, filled them with rum and let it age to create this delectable finish.

In a quest to find the ideal balance of flavours we steeped sun-dried bananas in fine aged rum, thus harnessing the intensity of the fruit whilst preserving the integrity of the spirit.
