Let’s go to the deep South, but south of the Equator! This is a classic mint Julep with mandrake bitters for good luck.
Our Juju Julep is the stuff legends are made of!
60ml / 20z LA HECHICERA Reserva Familiar rum 12 fresh mint leaves
10ml / 13 oz sugar syrup (2:1)
3 drops of Angostura aromatic bitters or mandrake bitters
Shake all ingredients with ice and fine strain into Julep cup half filled with crushed ice.
Churn drink and then top with morecrushed ice and churn again. Repeat this process until the drink
almost fills the cup and then cap with more crushed ice.
